Work Opportunity

There are plenty of work opportunities for international students in the UK.

Placements

A placement is a bit like an internship, but it is usually a bit longer – usually lasting for a year. Placements are a great way to get some work experience and learn new skills. Many universities offer placements as part of their courses, so it is worth checking with your university to see if they have any placements available.

Part-time work

Earn some extra money while studying with part-time work. There are many types of part-time jobs available, from working in a shop or restaurant to working as a tutor or in a library. You can usually find part-time work through your university or college, or by searching online.

Post Study Work Permit.

After the completion of Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, students are eligible to apply for 2 years’ post study work permit in the UK. Upon receiving the degree from the University, students are required to fill an online application form for the post study work permit. During the 2 years’ work permit, the students are required to do 1-year field job or earn £26,000 per annum, thereafter the student is entitled with 3 or 5 years of additional work permit (Skilled Worker Visa). After the completion of 5 years of work permit, the students are eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK which is equivalent to receiving the Permanent Residence in the UK.
